Biochar is a stable form of carbon produced through the pyrolysis of organic materials such as agricultural residues, wood waste, and crop residues. The pyrolysis process involves heating these materials in the absence of oxygen, leading to the decomposition of organic matter into biochar, bio-oil, and syngas. Biochar is characterized by its high carbon content and porous structure, making it an ideal soil conditioner and carbon sequestration tool.

Carbon emission reduction and avoidance by heavy Cement , Steel industries will be the most crucial game changer. These industries globally contribute to one fifth of GHG emissions and are hard to abate sectors unless they embrace new innovative ways to decarbonize.
With the lowering renewal energy costs, one of the globally trending technology towards energy efficiency is Thermal energy storage.
Hard to abate sectors need very crazy innovative technologies to implement TES with very low carbon foot print to deliver high temperature heat energy. SBT based TES can decarbonize heavy industries, such as steel, iron and cement.
There are materials and methods innovators are adopting – developing to achieve TES Systems which can offer temperatures of over 1,500 degrees – the temperature range required to decarbonize hard-to-abate sectors as well as power production.
